Privacy Policy

Exhale is built to be quiet — and that extends to your data. The app collects nothing about you, sends nothing anywhere, and has no servers, accounts, analytics, or advertising.

The short version

Everything Exhale does happens on your device. There is no network connection, no account to create, and no company receiving information about you or how you breathe. We — the developer — never see your data, because it never leaves your iPhone.

What the app stores on your device

Exhale saves your preferences — your chosen breathing pattern (inhale and exhale lengths, holds, progressive slowing), session length, and the haptics, eyes-closed, and countdown settings — locally on your device using Apple's standard on-device storage. These settings stay on your iPhone and are included only in your own device or iCloud backups, which are controlled by you and Apple, not by us.

Apple Health

If you grant permission, Exhale writes each completed session as “mindful minutes” to Apple Health, so your breathing practice appears alongside the rest of your health data.

• This is write-only: Exhale adds mindful-minute entries and does not read any of your health information.
• Health data written to Apple Health is stored and protected by Apple on your device under your control. It is not transmitted to us or to any third party.
• Health access is entirely optional. You can decline it, and Exhale will work exactly the same in every other respect. You can review or revoke permission at any time in the Health app under Sharing › Apps, or in Settings › Privacy & Security › Health.
• To remove sessions Exhale has already written, use the Apple Health app.

What we do not do

• No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking.
• No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
• No third-party SDKs that collect data.
• No accounts, sign-in, email collection, or contact information.
• No selling or sharing of personal information — there is none to sell or share.
• No tracking of you across other apps or websites.

Children’s privacy

Exhale does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It is suitable for all ages.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and revise the date above. Because Exhale collects no contact information, we cannot notify you directly — please check back here if you would like to stay current.
